Tower Lighting

OB 1

Tower lighting plays a vital role in ensuring aviation safety and complying with national regulations. Tall structures, such as communication towers, wind turbines, and broadcast antennas, must be made visible to aircraft to prevent collisions. The lighting systems used on these structures are governed by Transport Canada’s Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs) and related standards, which dictate the requirements based on tower height, location, and proximity to airports or flight paths.
